Polo Ponies in Training
We don't saddle-break our horses until they are 3 years old.
They are gently handled and given lots of attention from day one and
are halter broke at an early age. Besides being taught good barn manners,
the babies are taught how to load on a trailer, stand in a pony
line, work on a lunge line, etc. So when it is time to put the
saddle on, the young horses are very well behaved and respect and
trust the commands of a groom and trainer.
